How to print

The College has available for student use a Printer in the College Reading Room. Printing/copying charges are 10c per black and white page (grayscale printing) and 40c per colour page. Printing/copying charges are billed at the end of each semester to your College account.

Printing methods:

1) PaperCut Webprint (preferred method): Currently the most reliable way to print as there are no device specific drivers required (a simple webpage login). Please see instructions here

2a) PaperCut Mobility Print. Mobility Print is used for on-site printing. Please note the instructions will only be viewable when connected to JCH_Student WiFi. The installation process will install the Reading Room Printer on your device so you are able to use the printer as any other printer. Please note, this method is less reliable than Papercut Webprint as there have been sporadic driver issues reported by users. Instructions to install PaperCut Mobility Print here

Mac users, please ensure you add reading_room_printer

If the above process does not install the printer on your computer, please email it@jch.unimelb.edu.au

2b) PaperCut Cloud Mobility Print.

Please only user PaperCut Cloud Mobility Print as a secondary printing option. This is because the software is still in beta stage and may still have a number of bugs/issues that are being resolved. Please note, this method is less reliable than Papercut Webprint as there have been sporadic driver issues reported by users.

PaperCut Cloud Mobility print is similar to Google Cloud Print (print anywhere you are with an internet connection) please follow the instructions here

If the above process does not install the printer on your computer, please email it@jch.unimelb.edu.au

3) USB drive connected to printer (can only print PDFs). Instructions here: You will just need to login via the printer screen with your username and password, then insert your USB drive to select the document (the document must be in PDF format). You will then be able to select printing options and print via the touch screen interface.
